Hi I'm Landon Burrup

I live in Arizona, I love sports, family, exercise and I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

About Me

I've been married 6 years and have 3 beautiful children. I have a Masters degree in Physician Assistant studies and now work full time in the Emergency room. I love what I do. I also enjoy coaching my son in soccer and other sports, any free time I have I love to spend it with my wife and family in the outdoors, swimming, playing sports, reading, riding bikes, or even relaxing in the home together.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Lord. I believe his church is on the earth today in its entirety and fullness. I know the Lord in olden days spoke to the people through prophets, I know that he still speaks to his children through holy prophets. The same church that Christ organized on the earth when he was here has been restored to the earth in our day with living prophets and 12 apostles exactly how the church was originally organized. With this restoration came more scripture testifying of the divinity of the Savior and his mission, the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon stand as witnesses to the world of Jesus Christ. I have read both the Bible and the Book of Mormon and know they are true books written by prophets of old. I know that Joseph Smith the man who translated the Book of Mormon is a true prophet of God, I know this because of his fruits, which are good. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is on the earth, and I try my best to follow the Lord and his teachings through the prophets each day, the Lord's true gospel blesses my life and brings a feeling of peace, and joy to my family something I know I can find nowhere else.

How I live my faith

I live to serve my Heavenly Father in whatever capacity he sees fit for me, I believe that we are instruments and tools in the Lords hands; he uses us to bless the lives of others. I have the opportunity to teach others about Christ and his restored gospel and I help to organize activities. I visit families in my surrounding neighborhoods, encouraging them to pray as families and to read their scriptures daily. Doing these duties is a reminder to me to do them as well. One of the families that I visit has not been to church for several years now, I continued to visit them monthly despite setbacks such as missed appointments or busy schedules, after nearly 1 year of visits including prayer and scripture study, this family has started to come back to church and is now enjoying the many blessing that come from following Jesus Christ. This neighbor and friend later told me that when he would go to bed at night he would plead with the Lord that I would continue to come back and visit him to help give him the strength he needed to return to the Lord's fold. We can all spread the good word by serving our fellow man.
