Hi I'm Jonathan Alarcon
I love read, my favorite writer is Hugh Nibley, im the only child in my family, my father serve in a mission many years ago and that encourage me to serve one too, i was a mormon since a child and im so happy to have the church in my younger years, i am from Peru, a beautiful country, i am proud of my parent good servants of the lord, through they example i have a focus of what i wnat to be, my dream is study at BYU.
Why I am a Mormon
I'm born in the gospel, but i have my own testimony, i feel peace when i read the book of mormon and know that the promises that is written is true, i never found nothing better that this gospel and i love share the gospel with all the people and i know that this is true for the beautiful blessings in my life. take a while realize what is the gospel, but more because i did not understand the true, the gospel is open to everyone, and the atonement of Jesus Christ is free for us, i am happy that his work in this earth made possible for us to know the true, and that Joseph Smith restore the gospel of Jesus Christ, people always said that now in days we do not need more prophets, that we do not need God now, well i use to think like that but now in this days, we are in need of something that can help us to survive in this world, let ask a question to our self, if we are seeking for true, if we are really seeking for true, we do nor need to search for the fruits of the true, many said that we are crazy, well i see the standards that we have, we are protected for the worse, and we grown in the best, if we are seeking the true is no logical that we need to try everything, i know that this is true, i have seen thee fruits of it.
How has The Book of Mormon helped you understand the purpose of life?
The book of mormon has the fullness of the doctrine of Christ, the promises of peace and knowledge you can feel it until the first page
How I live my faith
I allways attend church, read the book of mormon and many books of the church and decided to serve in a mission like my father, when i was a teenager i didnt served well others but after my mission i realize the beautiful blessings of serve others. During my mission i learned that the most important thing is the atonement of Jesus Christ, i love mi mission and the opportunity that i have to share what i believe, been a mormon is not easy, who choose to be mocked, well take time to realize but no so much if you realize that nothing to this world is equal to the blessings of the gospel, like President Boyd K. Packer said: We are in enemy territory; I think that now the most important thing for us is serve each other and doing that we will be loyal servants to our Heavenly Father. I am proud to be a mormon, but more important, i am proud to be a child of God, Hurra for Israel!
