Hi I'm Renton

I wakeboard. I love to Golf. I love Music. I'm from the Northwest and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Washington State and have lived there for most of my life. I have one older brother who is in the Army Reserves and one younger sister who loves to dance. My father works as an insurance agent at Farmers Insurance. My mother is a stay at home mom. I have many different hobbies that I really enjoy doing. One of them is Golfing. Me and my father love to go golfing whenever we can. I also love boating. I wakeboard and tube. That is one of the funnest things that we do as a family during the summer time. I love to enjoy the water and get some fresh air. Maybe some wakeboarding and tubing air while I'm at it. I also love listening to music. I am a music junkie. I listen to all sorts of artists. Story of the Year, Lost Prophets, The Used, etc. Where ever I'm at the music is always going. It entertains me when there is nothing else to do. Good stuff! Anyways I also love to play Video Games such as Halo, Call of Duty, games like that. It's one of those hobbies that I just like to do to enjoy a little me time. If there isn't anything to do and I want to waste a little bit of time why not play some games for a little bit. It's entertaining and I like to have a little bit of fun once in a while.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been Mormon. I was born one. When I was little I always tried to survive on what my parents believed. I got to the point where I had to gain my own. It didn't come all at once, but over time and study. I have always believed that this church was true, but it was time to come to a knowledege that it was true. It was on my mission that I gained this knowledge and my testimony of its truth. As I preached the Gospel and what I believed I felt a burning inside that told me that all these things are true. When I finally read the Book of Mormon and finished it for the first time I prayed to know if it was true. A thought came to my mind accompanied with a peaceful feeling that said "What do you mean is it true? You have always known that it was true.". Since then I have helped others to come to know of the truthfulness of this church. It has blessed my life and the lifes of others. I am truly grateful to be a part of this church and it will always be my church.

How I live my faith

There is a lot of ways that I can live my faith. One way is I live my faith through helping others to feel the blessings that can come through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through following his teachings I have been blessed so greatly and have been feeling a sense of joy and happiness. I know that these teachings can really benefit others and help them to feel a sense of peace and have a sense of identity in a world that always calls for your attention. At this time I'm serving as a missionary for the church. Teaching others about Jesus Christ and his teachings has brought so much happiness to my life. I have seen a great change in my own life as I have shared what I know to be true. It's a great oppurtunity for me to share what gives me lasting happiness so that others can experience the joy that I feel in life. I also live my faith through doing the things that is expected of me. I do things such as going to church, reading my scriptures everyday, praying to my God often, giving service to others, and there is a lot more. Essentially I try to be an example of the believers in word, in thought, and in deed, in whatever place I may be in. Through living the teachings of Jesus Christ I am able to show my testimony through the happiness that I have, and also through the love that I show. Life is to short just to throw away. Through the Gospel I have seen true joy.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

What is the purpose of life? That is a good question. Many prophets in the Bible and the Book of Mormon have testified that the purpose of life is to prepare to meet God. There are many things that we can do in this life to prepare to meet God. Through obeying the teachings of Christ and the Commandments of God we are able to come closer to Christ and to our Heavenly Father. These teachings will eventually lead us to baptism and living these teachings through out your life. This is important to our preparation for God. Show more Show less
