Hi I'm Deena

I'm married to a Cowboy, have two beautiful cowgirls, work out of my home so I can be a stay at home mom, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived the majority of my life here in Arizona and love it. I've been married for 12 years and was blessed with an amazing step daughter when I married and have been blessed to have another amazing daughter of my own. My husband is a cowboy who makes a living through horses and we love it. We have our own little ranch with 12 horses, 10 steers, 2 donkeys, 2 goats and 2 dogs. I'm a stay at home mom who also works full time for a home based business. I've served in many capacities in the church with my current calling being with the Young Women. I had the privilege of serving the people of Russia, when I went on a mission to the Samara Mission. Both my husband and I come from large families who were also raised in the church and I love being close to them and spending time with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and was raised as a Mormon but found over time that I needed to gain a testimony of this gospel for myself. I come from generations of members going back to Joseph Smith. I remember growing up always believing it was true, feeling joy about the gospel but at the point in my life where I decided to go on a mission to teach this gospel and share it with others I realized that I didn't have that 'beyond a shadow of a doubt' testimony for myself. The day I gained that testimony I will never forget. The Holy Ghost touched my very soul in a way that words cannot describe about the prophet Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. I knew from that moment on and have not doubted since that this church is the true and could not wait to share the gospel with the people of Russia. I can't imagine my life without the church and am so grateful for the teachings.

How I live my faith

My family and I attend weekly meetings on Sunday. We strive to have family scripture study and family prayers daily. I personally try to have personal prayer and scripture study daily and attend the temple monthly. I am blessed to meet together each Wednesday night with the youth in my ward. I love to be involved in planning of activities for the ward, youth and our community. I am trying my best to instill in my children a love for our Savior Jesus Christ and teach them the stories of Jesus so that they too can find the joy that I have in His love and in the gospel. I want to be a person who strives to love others as Jesus does and hope that I might be able to follow the spirit as it directs me to help others. One of my favorite quotes to think of when life gets you down is by our late prophet President Gordon B. Hinckley "When life gets to hard to stand, kneel."
