Hi I'm Tani

I am a wife, mother, musician and crafter. Daily life is an adventure and I love it. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a woman entering her middle ages. Wow, time flies. My life has been rich and full. I met my life sweetheart in college and started a family with him in my final year of college. We graduated together and I made the decision to be a stay at home mom. I now have four beautiful children, One daughter and three sons. I married a military man and have had to learn to deal with the forced seperations during deployments. I have gained a greater appreciation for the need to parent in a team unit. Being a single mom is hard and being away from family is hard. I appreciate every moment we are together as a family. I love to serve others and have been blessed to use my music and craft skills to help in home, school and community. There is joy in using the skills you have learned to help and teach others.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. My life has been full of teaching and challenges. I have had to put the gospel of Jesus Christ to the test on many occasions to see where my own beliefs fall. My continued membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is maintained because of the peace and joy I feel as I live the teachings and principles taught in this Church. I have put all the teachings to the test. I have great peace and joy in my life from adhering to principles that keep me close to my Father in Heaven. The teachings have given me greater insight to my purpose here on earth and make my relationships with others stronger and more meaningful. I have the example of the Savior, Jesus Christ to follow. and I will never have to question or wonder what my next move in life should be if I remember what he would do.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity as a youth and as woman in the Mormon church to teach and lead in youth and adult programs. All the programs are organized and focused on what the Savior, Jesus Christ would want us to do. I am continually reminded of his gift to all of us. He gave us power over death and the ability to return and live with our Heavenly Father. I am currently a leader of Young Women ages 12-18 years in my Stake. I have felt great purpose in my responsibilities to the youth and to this church. The youth face a world of extreme evil and good. I feel the value of standing up for all that is good and happy. Every moment spent with the youth is a blessing in my life. The rising generation has to be strong and they need to find peace and happiness. I can help do that and I know I am making my Father in Heaven Happy when I do that.

What is being a Mormon like?

Tani
Being a Mormon means I am part of a large family. It is feeling a connection to people simply because of a commitment to keep the commandments and serve in the Lord's Kingdom. My life is full of hope and happiness because I am a Mormon. Show more Show less
