Hi I'm Michele

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. I love to quilt and to read. I have been a nurse for over 26 years and recently changed careers and became a Chief Water Operator for a small water systems plant where we live. Life always has many changes in store for you as I have come to find out.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a true testimony of Jesus Christ, that the Book Of Mormon is true and that we can live as an eternal family through Heavenly Father's Plan. I was raised as a Presbyterian but would go to church with my friends to investigate theirs . I always felt like something was missing, I couldn't put my finger on it. I investigated many churches and when I went to the LDS church everything started to feel right. I had two lovely Sister Missonaries teach me the lessons. I could feel the spirit so strong when they would tell about the gospel and our Heavenly fathers Plan. I knew it was true and I wanted to be a part of it. I was 12 years old at the time I was baptised. My father was against it and said he would not allow me to join the church. After we talked for several hours he realized I was doing this because it was what I truly believed and not just because my friends were Mormon. My family came to my baptisim and it was a wonderful experience. Before I even knew about the church my family and I would go camping most weekends that my Father was home on leave. As we were driving to the lake there was always a certain place I would start looking for what I thought was a beautiful castle up on the mountain side. I would always find it and point it out to my family. I didn't know at that time that what I was looking at was the Oakland Temple, I just knew it was a very special place to me. Later I was to learn what it was and how it fit into my life. Over the many years of being a member of the church I have learned many wonderful things and have been a part many wonderful things. I have been sealed to my wonderful husband for all time and eternity and feel blessed each and every day to have such a wonderful companion, who loves and supports me in the things I do as I love and support him. I have a peace in my heart knowing that I am on the right path that will lead back to my Heavenly Father. It's not always easiy, but it is always worth it.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to have served in many callings in the church, to teach the youth, to help with the adults and to serve in the Temple. All of these have helped to strengthen my testimony in our Lord Jesus Christ. With each new calling I realized I was given that calling because I had things I needed to learn which I could only learn through that particular calling. I strive to live rightously, read my scripture, pray and give serve to others. It is not always easy and I am not perfect at these things, but I know as long as I am striving to do these things I am on the right path that leads back home to our Heavenly Father.
