Hi I'm Leilani

I work with directors and producers. I love to bring characters to life. I am a stage actress. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an average person just like you. I go to work each day at a local college and I spend many evenings at my local theatre creating live entertainment. I have always dreamed of being a film actress, but I love the thrill of live theatre. I am involved in every aspect of putting on a production, from acting and directing to set construction and make-up design. Nothing is more exhilerating than to see a child's face when you have brought a Disney character to life before them. I also have a wonderful family. I have many nieces and nephews who are certainly putting me through the ropes until I have my own family, but I enjoy every minute of it. Growing up in a large family is a challenge, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I have spent a good deal of time in recent years to make sure that I understood myself and why I have chosen to be a Mormon. There are many obstacles that the world throws at you to question your beliefs, but in the end it all comes down to what you know is true. And you cannot find the truth through anyone else but yourself. All around you there is doctorine of what to believe or what not to, but really it takes you- asking God- what is the truth. He will let you know if you ask, and I have. There are many things that I still do not understand, but I do believe that He has a plan for his children, that He loves us, and that He knows our struggles and wants to help. I know that I am not perfect, far from it, and I still have questions about why trials come upon people, but I also know that there are people to whom I can turn to for help. Being a part of the Mormon church and following the doctorine has allowed me to become closer to God, and that is where I want to be.

How I live my faith

A big part of my regular involvement in church, aside from attending on Sundays, is planning activities. I used to be part of a group that planned activities almost on a monthly basis, from BBQs to fun family game nights. I now work on a committee that plans activities for the women on a monthly basis. Because of my strong theatre background, I present inspirational messages with the help of song and acting performances. I know that my talent comes from God and it is only appropriate that I use it in helping to strengthen his children.
