Hi I'm Rachael

I was born in Nebraska, but raised in Hawaii and Arizona; I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've always thought of myself as a very average sort of person. I do have a lot of interests but absolutely no hobbies! Maybe that means I need to budget my time more wisely and/or take some time to just "play"; is that possible for a mom with young children? I'm not quite sure, but I am sure that I have wonderful family and friends; I live a very blessed life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, in part, because of my parents. I was lucky enough to be raised by two really good people. I admired them and wanted to be like them (still do, actually). The other part is choice; I choose to live my life the way I do because I believe that this is the best way for me to develop myself into who I want to be and also my best opportunity to find peace and happiness.

How I live my faith

I always find fulfillment in living my faith because I love God, I love people, and I love learning; but I freely admit it is not always easy. I try to be aware of and help others around me as much as possible but find my focus to be pretty narrow sometimes. I have developed some habits (such as daily prayer and scripture study, and weekly church attendance) for which I am very thankful; these help keep me going as I strive for balance in my life. I have hope (that my juggling act may one day be spectacular) and am forever grateful to my Lord, Jesus Christ, because I know that He is the reason I may someday achieve this.
