Hi I'm Angela.

I grew up in Washington, am a mother of five, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been known as a Jack of all trades because I have so many interests. Growing up in a family of five girls and one boy, I loved spending time with my father learning to work on cars, remodeling houses, driving tractor and using power tools. But not all of my time was spent with dad, I learned so much from my mother...cooking, sewing, and all kinds of crafts including cross-stitching to which I love to do to this day. I think that having a wide range of interests has given me the opportunity to relate to many people. I have a wonderful husband, two step daughters, and three boys of my own. I am currently home schooling three of the five children, making our lives very busy. I love to see the light come on in the children as they grasp the concepts that I teach.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the church, but I still had to make my own choices on staying a member. At the age of eight I wanted to be baptized but my dad had reservations on weather I knew what that meant. It made me really look at what I was doing, but it wasn't until years later that I finally understood the impact that choice, being baptized into Jesus Christ church, would have on my life. I have come to know that I have a loving Father in Heaven, who knows me and loves me. He loves me so much that He sent His son to die for me. When I was baptized, I declared that I understood and want to follow Gods plan for me. Jesus Christ set the example of what I should do to return to live with God again. I have been able to learn these things thanks to prophets of old, who wrote Gods teaching in the Bible and Book of Mormon. God is a constant being, when He created us he set up a pattern for revealing truth which he follows today. Talking with prophets to declare His will to the world, has been in place since the beginning. I know the teaching are true because God has given me a way to know for myself, through the Holy Ghost. Through study and prayer I have received an answer for what Church is true? Where do I belong? How can I return to God? His Spirit has told me in my heart. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

In the everyday habits is how I live my faith. I wake up early to take my daughters to an early morning scripture study class before school. Then take the time to read the scriptures myself. Praying daily myself, with my husband, and with my family. Setting time aside every Monday to spend quality time with my family and teach my children the teaching of Christ. I have the opportunity to teach the women in the church in a Sunday class, even though I don't have any formal degree in being able to teach. I am involved with the Cub Scouts, in being a assistant den leader. When there is a need that I or my family can help with we are more than willing to be there.
