Hi I'm Shauna Smith

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom! I have always wanted to be a mother. When I was little, I would take my sisters dolls and make them mine! I married a terrfic man and we have 6 children. My youngest is a senior in high school so I have spent the last 30 years rearing children. I have a bachelor's degree in accounting but I chose to stay at home with my children. It wasn't always easy, but there is no greater joy than seeing your children succeed and reach their potential. I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ that allow me to be able to be with my family for eternity.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, there came I time when I had to decided for myself that what I believed, what I had been taught was true. I am grateful that I learned at a very young age that my Heavenly Father is real, that He loves me and that because of His Son, Jesus Christ, I can return to live with Him. Having that testimony of Him is one of the most important things that we can do in this life. Following His teachings has given me such a measure of peace and comfort. His love has helped me endure when I have been faced with difficult trials. I love Him.

How I live my faith

I love to read the scriptures. I can feel my Savior's love when I do. It helps me keep things in perspective. I pray regularly to my Heavenly Father. I know that He hears and answers my prayers. I have had many opportunities throughout my life to teach others about the gospel of Jesus Christ. It strengths my understanding of Christ's teachings when I do. I have learned that when I serve others, I am blessed so much more.
