Hi I'm Jordan

I grew up in Salt Lake City. I'm in Dental School and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for a little over 2 years to my wife who just graduated from Nursing school. I am currently in my first year of graduate school studying dentistry, which is keeping me pretty busy. When I have free time I love to spend time with family/friends, play/watch sports, and work out. I also love to vacation to any place that has water, mainly Lake Powell and the Ocean.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but gained my own testimony as I found the Book of Mormon to be true through study and prayer. This book of scripture, just like the bible teaches and testifies of Jesus Christ and has brought me closer to my Savior. I currently practice as a member of the Mormon Church because I know that living by what Jesus Christ taught makes me a happier person. In the church I am able to learn more about who he was and what he did for me. It also provides me with access to the scriptures and the words of modern day prophets, in these I find counsel and guidance that assist me in making decisions that are in the best interest for me and my family.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by treating others as Christ would in whatever circumstance I may be in. My faith is centered in the love that Jesus Christ had for all of us and I try to show that love back to him by striving to keep His commandments. Some of these commandments include attending church weekly, studying the scriptures, and communicating with my Father in Heaven through prayer. Through this communication I receive inspiration on what I need to be doing in life to help myself and those around me.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jordan
God is the source of all truth you don't have to depend on my convictions nor those of any other member of the church, you can go straight to him and because He loves you and wants to answer your questions, he will tell you through prayer. You need to study the Book of Mormon and He will help you recognize the truth as you sincerely seek it and ask Him for guidance. You can know that what you’ve been learning in the Book of Mormon is true (see Bible, James 1:5-6; Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:4-5). As you sincerely pray to your Heavenly Father, you can ask Him if what you are learning is true. Continue to study and give thoughtful consideration to what you are learning. Listen with your heart for the feelings of inspiration from the Holy Ghost, who will whisper the truth to your spirit and mind. You may have experienced feelings of peace, hope, comfort, or happiness as you’ve read. If so, you have already felt the Holy Ghost telling you that these things are true. I feel these kind of feelings every time I read the Book of Mormon, the Bible, or any other kind of scripture. Show more Show less
