Hi I'm Becky

I grew up in Utah, and now live in Texas. I am a wife and a mother. I am a community volunteer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and graduated with a degree in Geography when my youngest child was one year old. I love to learn, and am always on the lookout for something new to learn about. I enjoy traveling, and especially love to visit national parks and historic sites. I love to help and serve others. I volunteer at the school my children attend. I also volunteer in the local genealogical society. Genealogy and family history are one of my passions. I love to learn about those who came before us--not just names and dates, but the stories that made up their lives. In my spare time i enjoy reading, cooking, sewing, playing games, and watching movies with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and that by following His teaching I will be able to gain eternal life and exaltation. My faith in Jesus Christ has helped me through difficult times, and brings much joy to my life. I love the fact that the LDS Church is the same no matter where in the world you are. I know that no matter where I go, I will always have a family of brothers and sisters through the Church.

How I live my faith

Membership in the LDS Church is a way of life for me. Many of my activities throughout the week center on serving others through the various opportunities that arise through my church membership. Much of my time is spent in the Family History Center, where I serve as director of that center. My involvement in the family history center has led to being involved in the local genealogical society, as well.
