Hi I'm Deed Pendell

I have lived in Indiana most of my life, I'm a technical salesman of machining tools, a Pilot, a father of five and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a problem solver, which is mostly what I do in my profession. I try to help my customers with new techniques and of course new tools that fix things. Solving problems is my nature and so most of my free time is spent fixing something. I have been blessed with a mechanical ability that helps me do this. The most important aspect of my life is my family. My wife and five children are everything to me. My wife and I both are from big (by today’s standards) families, we both have four sisters and one brother. So we have a large extended family as well spanning the globe from Alaska to Australia and through that extended families we have had relatives living on every continent including Antarctica for a while. We all love to travel and do as much of it as we can. Flying Airplanes, I have been an airplane nut all my life, when not flying I love to read about them. I have other interest as well I enjoy including Sailing and Automobiles and of course tools.

Why I am a Mormon

When you find something that is right you have go with it. I did not know I was searching for truth when I found it. Looking back my life I was at a very dangerous cross roads when I found the church. The Moral Standards I had been using up to that point in my life were about to be challenged. Had those standards not been reinforced with reason of the True Gospel of Jesus Christ and the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation laid out for us by our Heavenly Father I would have abandoned my standards and followed a meaningless path. Everything I have in this life has been a blessing of this Church finding me and correcting my course before I became lost in the darkness.

How I live my faith

I try to be that person who is there when someone needs help. I try to fix things as I mentioned before. I'll always be a little rough around the edges and many people are surprised that I'm a Mormon because I don't fit their expectations. But I'm a prime example that anyone is not only welcome in this church but will strengthen it. We need you as well, almost as much as you need the light and knowlege that this church has to offer. I'm here as a witness that the Gospel of Jesus Christ changes lives for the better.
