Hi I'm Jamie Rea

I'm a husband,I'm a Dad, both of which I love. I work for an employer and I run my own business from home. And I'm a Mormon too.

About Me

I grew up in north Queensland in the bush. I had a million acres of crown land for my back yard and five younger brothers to share it with.We were always exploring or creating fun activities to do.I still love being creative and love to express it by creating on a computer. I've been constantly learning the field of 3d animation for almost 10 years. I've always marveled at the wonders of nature and how the sunlight reacts to different surfaces. I guess art is in my blood. And if i can't express it in one field I end up expressing it in another artistic medium. I guess because of this I've always looked at the world in a different way.I'm definitely a deep thinker and enjoy deeper topics such as science and technology and where my place is in the scheme of things. On the other hand, sometimes i just like to have fun and not have to think about anything at all.You know!! just take it as it comes and enjoy the moment....

Why I am a Mormon

Although my parents were already members of the Church I knew from when I was very young that God lived and loved me. I almost died at 4 years of age and had a very special experience while i was in the hospital. One day I may share it with you! Needless to say I've often contemplated those and other experiences and my place in the world, and in privacy have prayed to know God and have found that he will answer. I have found that he answers those that are sincere. I'm a humble sort of person and have been put in my place often, especially when I'm in the wrong. But I know its through those experiences God has put or rather led me here to this point in my life.I'm sure its not coincidence I was already in his Church because as I searched for truth I found it had already been placed in my hands. Great things start from a small sincere prayer. Anyway I know God and Jesus live and love me and that i have been blessed much, and there is much more to life and purpose than just the superficial image we are fed from the media. And although sometimes the world drags me down I Know the Lord want's me to do and be something better. So I pick myself up and carry on carrying on! And I guess that's a very small part of the reason why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Jesus set up an organization to help the individual and the community. It is called the gospel. He said basically, If you do these sorts of things that I will teach you, generally you will live happily and feel fulfilled in life here on earth. So I just try to live as he would have me live.To find out how to do that I read the Holy Scriptures it's all in there!! Currently at church [Because callings change.] I am a secretary to one of the men's groups. I take down notes from meetings and prepare leaflets on up coming events or activities to hand out etc. Nothing to stressful.I also love visiting our Temples with my family. when i visit these holy places I feel extra close to the Lord. And sometimes I visit friends from church just to see if they are going o.k. and lend a hand where i can.It makes me feel good. You should try it!!.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Jamie Rea
No.... Although if you were going to be killed because you joined the church, you may want to take some extra time to consider it. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

Jamie Rea
They say all good things come to an end. And that's mostly true in this life. But luckily for us, the next life can be different. It's been revealed that this life is the time to prepare to meet God. The whole purpose of life, and the mission Jesus Christ had while he was on earth, and his mission still, is to help us to become more like God. Why??? Because it's important to know Who we were, and where we came from to understand where we are going. Originally we came from God. He is from everlasting to everlasting and our Father, the literal father of our spirits. It's through his son Jesus Christ That we can take steps to regain the presence of God, to [in the distant future] eventually be like him and enjoy the same existence that God the father has. We refer to this state of existence as eternal life. Show more Show less
