Hi I'm Cassidy

I am married to a fantastic man and have 2 children who amaze me everyday. I graduated from ASU and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a great guy whom I met in college. We were friends, sort of, I was always trying to set him up with my friends. He actually dated one of my roommates. One day things just clicked and we started hanging out, then dating and nine months later we were engaged and three months later we were married. We have a crazy-imaginative three year old boy and an adorable 9 month old girl. Being a mom is the most amazing thing I have ever done. I love watching my kids discover new things and accomplish small things. I wish I could stay home with them full time but right now it isn’t possible, so I work part-time for a non-profit organization. I work with inner-city children doing after school programs. I love being able to teach and help these kids grow and gain confidence. I love being able to be a small part of their childhood. I am a pretty easy going person that loves to read and watch movies. I also have a strange affinity for silly reality TV shows, my husband thinks I’m crazy but always watches with me! I love shoes and purses. I also love sports. Sports were something we always were encouraged to do growing up and I love watching and playing most sports

Why I am a Mormon

I was so blessed to be born to two amazing parents who always wanted the best for us. They were such a great example to me. They would wake us up early every morning to read scriptures with us and they would find ways to have family night around crazy schedules. They taught me what it meant to be a mormon, that having a testimony and living it bring true happiness. As I have grown and gained my own testimony I have learned just that. Knowing that I have a Father in Heaven that loves me and a Savior in Jesus Christ keeps me from feeling olverwhelmed and hopeless when things get tough. Life can be hard and good times come and so do the bad, but I know that there in a plan for everyone of us. The feeling of peace I get when I pray lets me know that I am not alone and that I am loved. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus love each one us, that knowledge makes me want to be a better person and to keep the promises I have made to my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon to me is more than just going to chruch for three hours, it is about waking up everyday and trying to be a better person than the day before. Because of Jesus's sacrifice for us we can repent for the mistakes we make, knowing this gives me the strenegth I need to live everyday to the fullest. I know that I am not perfect and as I struggle with my children or get annoyed at other drivers, I know that I can take a step back and be better tomorrow. Because I have the oppertunity to work in such a unique job, I am able to meet many diverse people. I hope that as people get to know me the can see that I am different; that I live my life differently from most people. Because of my job I am not allowed to talk about religion, but as I teach and work with children I try to teach them the same morals and values that I was taught growing up.
