Hi I'm Beth

I grew up in Southern California. I love the ocean, eating yummy food, and have the gift of gab! I love my family & I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a Mom of three great kids, and have been married for 12 years. I love to watch movies, socialize, shop, and watch my kids play sports. I try to devote as much of my time to serving others, as this makes my life quite happy and complete. I also love News, Politics, and love my Country! I admire qualities and talents of others that I'd like to possess, and like to work towards those things little by little. I'm a pretty simple person, but full of life, and love to have a great time!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon?? That's a great question! I went through a period of life asking myself that very question. I've grown up in the Mormon faith, and there came a time when I didn't want to follow of these "Rules" that I thought only Mormons had. After some time, I found myself to have become someone I wouldn't have recognized today. I was quite unhappy with life in general, and couldn't really put a finger on as to why. My dear husband, who was not a member of the Mormon faith, encouraged me to go back to church, and try to find who I really am. It took me some time, and some hard decisions to make, but I had finally come to a place where I could recognize my mistakes, and take responsibility for the choices I had been making. I found that these "Rules" of the Mormon religion, were not rules, but "Guidelines & Counsel" on how to be my best and happiest self. The choice was mine! Through much thought and tons of prayers, I put God to the test, and bluntly asked if I was in the right place, or if I needed to be somewhere else. Through experieces that are near and dear to me, I can say without a doubt, I absolutly KNOW that I am in the place I need to be. It's where I feel my Heavenly Father near me. It's where I have fully been forgiven. It's where I have found who I really am. I am a daughter of God, and He loves me! It's where the Lord has provided me all the things I need to prepare for HIS return. I'm glad that I asked myself that question long ago .... Why am I a Mormon? I'm even more glad for the personal and irreversable confirmation of love and truth I received, and continue to receive, from God above. I made a choice, and I'm completly happy with the choice I made! I am a Mormon!!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by first making the decision to make it my whole lifestyle. I'm in no way perfect, but I do try my best each day to do only the things that I feel would please God and Jesus Christ. As I've been given three children to look after, I have also had to put myself in their same category. After all, I am a daughter of Heavenly Father. I've made the choice to NOT watch, listen to, and participate in things that I wouldn't want my own children to do. I shouldn't just try to protect their little spirits, but mine as well. This has helped me to feel the promptings of the Holy Ghost more in my life. I believe that I will be help accountable for every aspect of my life, and I need to remind myself of this each day. I also love, love, love to serve others around me!! Whether it's within my church organization teaching younger children, or in the womens organization, or the Boy Scouts, I find joy in serving everywhere!! Most important to me, are the little ways to serve in my everyday life. Just a simple smile and hello! Holding the door open for someone. Helping an elderly person with their groceries. Shaking the hands of those in uniform, and thanking them for their service. Taking a meal to someone sick or in need. Just these little things in my life bring me peace, happiness, and solidify for me my belief .... that me being a "Mormon" means that -I WILL SERVE OTHERS!-
