Hi I'm Scott

I'm a happy father of six, a pretty good husband, and a wannabe hick. I love basketball, software and music. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I are madly in love and are trying hard to enjoy every day of this journey together. We feel strongly that our closeness and unity is the key to happy, intentional living. My six amazing children think I'm a pretty cool dude. I hope I have time to become a better dad before they figure me out! Seeing each of them develop and grow is one of the most fulfilling things in my life. I am the co-founder of a software company that helps small businesses to automate their marketing and sales. I am very passionate about helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses, and equally passionate about creating a culture in our company that encourages our employees to maximize their potential. While business and occupations are a critical part of life, I believe that family and personal development must never take a back seat. No success will compensate for failure in the home!

Why I am a Mormon

I take my religion very seriously because I have had several unmistakable spiritual experiences that have solidified my personal belief in Jesus Christ and His gospel. I am convinced that true happiness in this life doesn't come from money or circumstance, but it comes from understanding and following true principles and values. Satan is doing an amazing job in making many things look attractive to us but in the end, the "happiness" that his path offers is temporary and ultimately empty. If you have ever felt like there is more to life than what you have been experiencing, I encourage you to open your mind and heart to the possibility that God has something more that he wants to give you. If you pray to him sincerely, he will guide you. If you are willing to exercise faith and act on the inspiration he will give you, you will discover a level of happiness that only He can help you find!

How I live my faith

Living the gospel of Jesus Christ is very simple, but not very easy :) At home, my wife and I work hard to teach our six children about hard work, honesty, kindness, forgiveness, prayer and faith. We try really hard to read scriptures and pray together every day. I feel it is my responsibility as a father to protect my family against spiritual attacks. Because of this, I am careful to avoid video games, movies, music and Internet sites that would leave us "spiritually weakened". When we do this well, our children are happier and more kind to each other, my wife and I are happier, and we all seem to be more successful in the things we are trying to do. I think God is always ready to bless anyone who is trying to follow his plan, despite the fact that we are all far from perfect!
