Hi I'm Brandon

I've been called to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Auckland New Zealand I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sporty kind of guy. I've played sports my whole life. I played baseball, football, and wrestled since i was 4, and did them all until i got to high school. Now i only wrestle. I am very small for my age and get teased a lot. Its hard to get through the day when you have everyone in the whole entire school turning and looking at you with an astonished face. But you just have to trust that the Lord has a reason and a plan. I would like to attend BYU Provo, and become a surgeon. It has been hard growing up in the gospel because my dad is inactive. But i know one day he will come around. My dad is in the Air Force so i know what its like to move around all the time and constantly lose friends. But with that brings making new friends and seeing everywhere around the country. Thats just a little about my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am i a mormon? I get asked that question a lot. I am a mormon cause i have a testimony that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the one and only true church. People always tell me, "Well you just think that because you grew up in the gospel and now are 'brainwashed'". Thats a big lie. I have had so many personal experiences with the gospel that i never would've had without it. Another big question is why do we have so many rules? Well first, they aren't rules, they are guidelines. People always say well if you date before you're 16 you get kicked out of your church! Thats another lie! They are just guidelines that we are encouraged to follow. They are for our protection, not to prevent us from having fun. I am a mormon because of all the friends i have in the gospel who are so nice and help you get through everything. The gospel is true and i know that because we are the only church with the priesthood. Any male, 12 and older who are worthy, can hold the priesthood. The priesthood is basically the power of God. You can do healings, baptisms, special blessings, and so many other sacred ordinances you couldnt do without the priesthood. Friends always tell me my religion sucks because i have to get married in the temple, meaning only with another mormon. I want my marriage to be eternal, or forever. That includes the next life. HERE'S ONE OF THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS WITH NON-MEMBERS. They think that Mormons aren't christians, and that we worship Joseph Smith. BIGGEST LIE EVER! We are christians because we believe that Jesus Christ is our savior, and that he died for us, and took upon the sins of the world for us. Joseph Smith is not who we worship. We worship Jesus Chirst. Joseph Smith just re-established our church. Also, the Book of Mormon is a true book. It isnt to replace the bible, just an addition. I give you my testimony that the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true gospel of Christ. Pray about it and you will know.

How I live my faith

One big thing about religion is that people think that if you are christian or whatever religion and you call yourself that religion that you will be saved. I believe that you need to actually need to practice your religion. A couple ways i do that is by obeying all the rules/guidelines. I dont date until i'm 16, i dont use bad language, no rated R movies, drugs and alcohol, of course not, and so on. I also use the priesthood almost every day. Whether it's calling upon the administering of angels, preparing and passing the sacrament, hometeaching, or even collecting fast offerings. I also go to mutual every Tuesday, which is either scouts for the boys, fun activities for the girls, or combined activities boys and girls (we go out and do something fun together). I am a good example and preach the gospel to anyone looking for it. I try to find as many missionary opportunities as i can. I am also preparing myself and plan to go on a mission when i turn 19. I love my religion and do everything i can to live my faith.
