Hi I'm Stewart Hamblin

I'm a university student in Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attend a university here in Arizona. I also am a Systems Support Analyst for a manufacturing company here. I am an A+ Certified computer engineer and enjoy working on complex systems issues. I recently returned from serving a full-time service mission in Brazil and got married soon after that. I enjoy working on my truck and creating new things. I enjoy the outdoors (except for the mosquitoes) and recreational activities like riding ATVs and camping with family. I also enjoy recreational target shooting (such as skeet).

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for a number of reasons. First, my parents are members of the Church and naturally I was raised in the faith. More important than that however, is how I have come to chose for myself to be a member of this church. When I was young I went to church because my parents did and I had no choice. As a teenager I went to church because my parents did I had friends there. It was while I was in my later teen years that I started to see just how wonderful this church is. I read the Book of Mormon and received a testimony for myself that it is the word of God along with the Bible. Since those years I have been strengthened as I read the scriptures and know for myself that this is the Church of Jesus Christ. As an adult, I have the choice of what to do with my life and I chose to follow the word of God and be an active member of His Church.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to teach Sunday School with my wife. We teach the 8 and 9 year olds. They sure are fun to be around. We teach them gospel stories and truly enjoy the interaction we get to have. They remind us what it was like to be a kid. I also have the opportunity to visit two families in our ward each month with another guy in our local congregation. We share a message with the families and offer them service in whatever way they need. It is wonderful and is a great way to be friends with more people in the community.
