Hi I'm Mike

I enjoy my family, work, and the blessings that the Lord gives when I keep His commandments

About Me

I grew up with my mom as the only member of the church in our family. But later on, my dad joined too. One of my fondest memories is my family going to the temple to be sealed together when I was about nine years old. I can still remember it well. In high school I played football, enjoyed lifting weights, and tied to make good choices. When I was nineteen I was called to serve a mission in Argentina and leaned to speak spanish. It was nice to learn spanish because my moms ancestry is from latin america. After my mission I was able to graduate from a major college with a degree in accounting. I met my wife while in school and since our marriage have raised three boys. We have moved around a lot. We have lived in Chile, Mexico, and in different states within the U.S. But everywhere we have gone we have always found comfort from our church family.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child my mom taught us the importance of making good decisions. I was the oldest in my family and so I wanted to impress my parents with my choices. I soon began to realize that my friends who didn't make good decisions where not as happy as I was. I had good boy scout leaders who taught me to pray and how to recognize the Holy Spirit which teaches of truth and helps us make correct choices. As I think about my life in general I feel like I have always tried to make good choices and testify that that has made my life easier and happier. I think there are a lot of good people on this earth that recognize truth and have a good portion of truth because of the spirit of Christ they have with in them. But they may not have the full truth only because they haven't heard the gospel message. If they will but listen they will know as I know that this is the truth in its fullness.

How I live my faith

I believe that the most important thing of my life is serving my wife and children. I try to support them in their interests and help them in any way I can. One of the primary ways I help my family is by being a good employee, a hard worker, and providing a living for my family through an honest days work. The Lord has blessed me more then I feel I deserve. The way I seek to return is by accepting the opportunity to serve in my church in whatever way I can. I have been able to serve kids as well as adults in my different capacities as a member of the church.
