Hi I'm Ryan

I am a husband, father, Air Force veteran, civil engineer and brain cancer survivor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a family man with a wonderful wife and five children. I enjoy spending time doing things that serve to strengthen my relationships with God and my family. I enjoy being in the outdoors to enjoy the wonders of God's creations. I love the Bible and the Book of Mormon. The Gospel of Jesus Christ fills my life with meaning, peace, and direction.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that it is truly the Church of Jesus Christ restored to the earth, endowed with His priesthood authority, teaching His gospel, and led by His prophets and apostles under His direction as it was in biblical times. My membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps me become a better Christian. It has helped me to know the truth concerning our Heavenly Father’s Plan and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know for myself that God our Heavenly Father lives and loves us. I know He has a prepared a plan for us to become more like Him and return to His presence as part of His eternal family through the willing sacrifice of His Only Begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ - our Savior and Redeemer. I know that through His death and resurrection, Christ saved us from death, so that we will all live again. I know that through his terrible suffering, Christ paid the price of our sins thereby extending divine mercy to each of us as we submit our will to His and live according to His teachings. I know that through Christ I can repent, be forgiven of my sins, learn from my mistakes, and become a better person through the cleansing and enabling power of His divine grace. I know that loving family relationships can continue into eternity through faith in Christ and obedience to His commandments. The Spirit of God has born witness to my soul that these things are true.

How I live my faith

I try to always remember the Savior and demonstrate my love for Him by keeping His commandments. I earnestly strive to be honest with myself, with God, and with others at all times. Together with my wife, I am striving to raise my family upon the foundation of Christ's Gospel. I am grateful for the many ways in which the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints supports us in that effort. I have been blessed by the many service opportunities I have had in the Church. These have provided me experiences that increase my awareness of God’s love for others and for myself.
