Hi I'm Alex

I'm an extremely happy and positive person. I love dance! My friends and family are everything to me and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the oldest child of 3 sisters and 2 brothers. I plan on going to college and majoring as veterinarian and minoring as a herpetologist. I spend my free time outdoors, playing with my pets, being with my family and dancing! I converted in March 2011.

Why I am a Mormon

I never had a religion growing up, and never pictured myself being part of a church. It wasn't until my dad remarried to an LDS woman that I started becoming interested in church. I investigated for 2 years with my younger sister before anything happened. On March 2011, I was baptized and confirmed a member of the church. My baptism was huge, and there were a ton of people from my stake presidency that I had never seen before. During my investigation, the ward I attended used to joke around and call me "the non member who knew more than any member". I love being a member of the church because I am much happier and I have learned to respect myself and the people around me. I especially love meeting with missionaries and hearing everything they have to say. The church has truly changed my life.

How I live my faith

I attend church every other week while I live with my dad. I go to Sunday school and class with all the young women in the church. Bright and early, I wake up to attend seminary with my peers! Despite how early it is, I love going! By living my faith, I am much happier and I am greatly blessed!

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Of course not! Members of the church are big on service to everybody, not just members. In fact, the Mormon Church has donated billions of dollars to countries in need of aid. Almost all of our service is towards those that are not members. Show more Show less

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

If you are interested in learning about the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, you can talk with another member of the church! Or you can invite the missionaries over for a discussion! They are always willing to meet and discuss the church! You could even attend a church meeting on Sunday if you would like! Show more Show less

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Not at all! Anybody is welcome to join the church, despite race or color! There are also no restrictions concerning who can have the priesthood or not! Anybody is welcome! Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

The family is central to God's plan for His children! We believe that we will be able to live again with our families as an eternal family after death! Our families provide a setting for a large majority of the growth experienced in life! We believe that families can help each other through difficult challenges, but all give each other strength and some of our greatest happiness! Show more Show less
