Hi I'm Robin

I'm a mother of 4. I'm a Group Fitness Instructor. I'm a triathlete. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife to my best friend, Joel. We have 4 children; 3 boys and a baby girl. I teach group fitness. I teach yoga, kickboxing, spinning, weight lifting and other formats. I have so much fun getting people to enjoy exercising and feeling good about themselves. In my spare time I love to ride my road bike and practice yoga. I have finished an olympic triatholon despite my fear of swimming in open water.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. I was raised Mormon and have always been blessed to have the church in my life. I have been lucky in that I have always known my Heavenly Father loves me. I have been lucky to know I am His daughter and He knows me personally. I have also always known that Jesus Christ is my Savior and loves me enough to die for me. Even though I have always believed in this, at times in my life when trials come about I pause to reflect on this knowledge and this strengthens my testimony. I have 4 children. Each child was very hard for me to bring into this world. My 4th baby was born in 2010. After the C-section I developed a very large blood clot that caused me excrutiating pain. The nurses didn't know what was wrong with me. As the hours went by I felt like I was going to die. My body had gone into labor with a brand new C-section scar because it was trying to push out this large blood clot. I had a prayer in my heart to my Heavenly Father to please let me stay and raise my children. My doctor was able to save my life by getting the blood clot out in time. I lost half the blood in my body but was able to rebuild that blood totally back in 4 weeks, without a blood transfusion. I know my Heavenly Father saved my life that day. I know I have a mission to complete here on earth. This is only one example of trials that strengthen my faith everyday. I am a Mormon because I cannot deny the truths of this Gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. I am very active in my church and in my community. I put the Lord first in my life, which helps me serve others in many capacities. At church I am in charge of providing activities for the 8-11 year old girls. I have coached church sports. I play the organ on Sundays. I participate in the PTA at my kids' schools and volunteer at their school weekly. I teach Group Fitness classes at a gym in town. People come to me asking what they can do to lose weight. I help show them how important it is to be active, exercise regularly and eat healthy. But I also try and help them understand that God loves them and their bodies are a gift from Him. I think this is important in a world that teaches us our bodies need to be one way. We are children of God and we are so lucky to have a body on this earth. What is important about being a Mormon is it is not a religion you practice only on Sunday. It is everyday and every minute. Of course I make mistakes at times, but I try hard to be an example of Jesus Christ in every situation as I go through my day. He is my light and my life.
