Hi I'm Diana

I am mother of seven, I love my husband, I wakesurf, I sing, I'm from the Seattle area, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In high school I was the starting Center for the first girls basketball team. I was also a lead in the school musical. I took lessons in voice and piano, and played violin in school orchestra. I loved the out of doors and horses. As a young adult I served a mission in Atlanta Georgia and went to three years of college. I spent my free time enjoying social dancing. Once I got married I taught voice and piano. I love performing singing. I have seven children. I designed and helped build our home on acreage where we raised sheep, goats, chickens, and horses. I am the remodel construction manager of two homes. I enjoy spending time with my husband and my children. We boat, hike, camp, and travel. I love sports boating. I tow wakesurfers, wakeboarders, skiiers, and tubers. I prefer wakesurfing when on the lake. I love to take the boat through the cut into the big city, moore at our favorite fast food restaurant and eat on the waterfront. I love helping people emotionally. I have overcome a lot myself, and love to encourage others to do the same, especially concerning abuse. I enjoy hearing my husband's stories from work with preparing a new commercial airliner to be deliverred to the airlines. I enjoy my beautiful wonderful children. They are full of life. I spend most of my time helping them be who they are. I have three single college students, one junior and one senior high, two married, and I have four little grandchildren. They are all my angel babies.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon for so many reasons!!! God is my number one. I know he lives and that Jesus Christ also lives. He rescues me from sin and guides me to heaven. Secondly, I love my husband. I want to have him forever. I know we will live after this life. My children are my most precious opportunity I have had on this earth. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's kingdom on the earth. By it we have the Priesthood power, Christs power. This power allows me to be bound forever to those whom I love the most here. I love to listen to the prophet who is Gods' spokesman for me today!!! He is good and Godly. I know Joseph Smith is the prophet through which Jesus Christ restored his church which is patterned after the primitive church Jesus Christ formed in His day. I love the priesthood of God on the earth, which is his power to do His work. I love temples, and making and keeping covenants as the people did anciently. I love knowing that God loves me and is mindful of my situation right here and now and that he hears and answers my prayers and guides my every step if I let him. I love the peace and guidance and safety I receive by living and keeping commandments which are given to keep me safe and happy. I love truth. And in this church I find it. I know it is not of man, but of God I know this is truely Jesus Christs church here on the earth in these days. I love the scriptures. I love the wisdom of the Old Testament. I love Christ's life and dealings with his fellowmen and his atonement, or sufferings in our behalf so we may repent and be forgiven and also grant forgiveness when necessary, these teachings found in the New Testament. The Book of Mormon I know was translated by the gift and power of God. It is full of testimonies of the divinity of the Savior and His purpose in our lives. I love the Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price which are modern revelations and ancient ones for our time.

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities in my church. I have taught and led young women, and the children. I have assited in leading the women. I have been a teacher of all age levels. As a teen-ager I planned for, bought, and served all of the food for a multi-congregational week-long girls camp. I have directed many choirs, played the paino and organ for many music events. I have sung solos and in groups also in choirs religious music for my church. I visit certain women every month in their homes, whom I am in charge of being their friends, teaching them spiritual messages, and making sure their needs are met. Right now I lead the music in the women's meeting. Also, my husband is Bishop, so I encourage him in his duties which are all done with-out pay. I read the scriptures, I pray often, and I constantly seek the guidance of God in all of my dealings. I try to obey God's commandments. I attend church on sunday for three hours, and then some during the week including fun social events. I play the piano and sing hymns, for our enjoyment in our home. Sometimes my children join me in this by voice or musical instrument. We have a temple close and I attend several times a month. My husband and I were married in the temple thirty years ago. We read scriptures as a family almost every day. And we pray every day at least once together as a family. We also try to keep our entertainment as virtuous as possible. We have Family Home Evening every monday night where we talk about religious subjects, play games, and plan our week together. I try to have integrity and charity and other Godly virtues. I seek for God's help in all of this. Living my religion gives me guidance and peace and hope through difficult challenges which I privately face as do many of you. Two weeks ago I attended the blessing of our newest grandbaby in my daughter's congregation. These are just a few of the ways I enjoy living my religion!
