Hi I'm Dave

I live in Arizona, have an MBA and work for a fortune 500 company. I love my family and I run marathons. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a beautiful wife and four wonderful children and two amazing grandchildren. My family means everything to me! I enjoy helping my children succeed at life and in keeping true to the beliefs and principles we've tried to teach them in the home. These principles are based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. I've worked for several Fortune 500 companies in various management positions. I enjoy business and helping people succeed in business. I also enjoy golfing and running an annual marathon. I also enjoy helping people with their health and feeling better about themselves.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that true happiness comes by following the teachings of Jesus Christ. I enjoy reading about my Savior in the bible and in the Book of Mormon. I gained a personal testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon through study and prayer and believe it is a perfect companion to the Holy Bible in helping us better understand Jesus Christ, His mission and His teachings. When I was 19 years old, I went on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to Sendai, Japan. While in Japan I taught the Christian principles I learned from the Bible and the Book of Mormon. It was a difficult mission at times as often I was teaching people that did not believe in God. However, as I encouraged people to read and pray about the Book of Mormon, many came to know the true nature of God and his son, Jesus Christ. Many were baptized as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and through continuing to study the gospel of Jesus Christ have come to know the answers to such questions as: Where did I come from before this earth life? Why am I here? Where am I going after this life? I'm thankful for the truths revealed in the Book of Mormon that fully answer these questions. My farther passed away 20 years ago when he was only 54 years old. Because of these revealed truths, I know that I will see him and be with him again someday. I'm also very thankful that through these restored truths, I know that my family can be together forever. The knowledge of these truths brings happiness to me in this life and gives me much hope for what's in store in the next life where I will be able to live with my family forever.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints provides me many opportunities to serve There are no paid clergy in our church so we truly are a volunteer army with all being called to serve as volunteers in a variety of church callings. I've had many opportunities to serve within the church including teaching our young children the gospel during Sunday School as well as serving the young men through the scouting program. One true principle I have learned is that when we are in the service of our fellow beings, we are most happy because we tend to focus less on our own problems and instead focus on how we might help others in their time of need.
