Hi I'm John

I am a lifelong mormon husband, father, son, brother and friend.

About Me

I love technology, sports but most of all my wife and children. I have a bachelors degree in Mathematics from Brigham Young University (BYU) and used to dance on one of their backup ballroom dance teams. I enjoy water and snow skiing, raqcuetball and attending any BYU football game I can get my hands on. I am a husband of a wonderful woman who inspires and encourages me. We are the parents of 9 awesome children and we love and are so grateful for each one of them! I have been in the computer services industry for many years and have found it a great training ground for refining the art of communication even in extreme situations.

Why I am a Mormon

This is an interesting question, not because it's hard to find a reason, but because it's a challenge to fit my answer into the character limit. I was born into the mormon church because of my righteous and courageous pioneer grand parents. I am still a mormon because of my wonderful parents, brothers, sisters and friends but mostly because of my knowledge of the blessings my Father in Heaven has given us. I have learned from personal experience how wonderful life can be when I accept and follow the Savior in my life. I have learned from personal experience that our Savior loves me as well as everyone I know and everyone I do not know. I am still a mormon because I know this church is true. The savior created a church when He was on the earth. He did so for a reason and I know it is a way for him to bless all of his children. Other churches have truth and wonderful people, but this Church is the Saviors one and true church with a fullness of his gospel. It do not take away any good thing from anyone. But it can add to anyone's life. I have seen and know this to be true. There is no risk in learning more. Mormons are far from perfect but we are beneficiaries of being members of the Lord's true church are we want to share the blessings we have been given. We are all children of our Father in Heaven who is the creator of all. He knows and Loves us! He will not require anyone to believe just the written or spoken words of anyone. If anything you learn about Mormons is true, He will tell you if you are willing to hear it. He will not force anyone into His church, but if you are open to His will, and His word, he will show you and tell you the truth. You can have a personal testimony of any truth by asking Him in sincerety and faith. You don't need to just take anyone's word for it.

How I live my faith

I am a volunteer technology specialist for a group of congregations, I am a member of the Sunday School presidency and I work with 9 year old cub scouts. But the way I really try to live my faith is by how I treat others. Especially my wife and children but the rest of my family, friends and those I work with. And even those I meet on the street. I try to continue learning and try to live what I learn.
