Hi I'm Esteban

I'm a devoted husband, a proud father. I work in the financial services industry, I'm an avid basketball fan and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Central America and came to Australia when I was very little. I love living in this country, it's provided me with the most happiest moments of my life, namely, marrying a wonderful woman with whom I get to learn and grow with and my son who is such a blessing. I was a graphic designer for about 8 years before I started studying accounting. I was eventually led to the financial services industry where I am in a position to not only help others, but to listen to them in their concerns and future plans - which is one of the main reasons why I made such a dramatic change. I've been playing and been a fan of basketball for the past 16 years, there's no other sport like it! I love reading, I enjoy cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in a Mormon family, I felt that during my early 20's I wanted to understand more about the reasons why I was a member. Prior to then I would tell people that I was a Mormon, without really knowing or understanding what it truly means to be one. That question remained in my heart and mind. I would then start attending church and participating in activities, I started reading my scriptures and praying every morning and night and every time I did so, things became a little clearer. This clarity truly felt like I'd added a piece of me that was missing, an extension of me that provided me with more stability, not only to strengthen my faith, but to improve and strengthen everything about me. The moments that followed and the various milestones that I achieved allowed me to be in a position to help those within the church and outside of it who may be asking the same questions, who have the same doubts about what comes next, but not only from an eternal perspective, but in this life also. Spirituality and peace are ideals that most of us pursue, peace in life, peace outside of all the noise around us, in my case it also includes knowledge, personal growth, a caring attitude for those around us and having a goal. Being a Mormon for myself, means having a belief in a Heavenly Father, believing in Jesus Christ, but it means to know and think for yourself, to apply your faith in practical ways as well as spiritually, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

How I live my faith

I live my faith particularly in how I treat others, Jesus Christ was the ultimate example of this. He loved anyone who approached him, including those who sought to do Him harm. I live my faith in how I treat my wife and son, in how I spend my personal time, in what I watch, in what I listen to. These are the foundations in my life that then allow me to interact with those around me, to show integrity in my approach. That same approach has allowed me to be more intuitive to the young people I've had the privilege of teaching and helping and to members in the community, namely, the elderly and families who are having difficult times. I understand that my faith isn't the only influence, one must have the right attitude and desire, however, my faith provides me with the right direction to take.
