Hi I'm Becky

I love working with kids and became an elementary school teacher. Now I spend my time raising five children of my own.

About Me

I’m originally from a small town in Arizona. I come from a large family and have always loved helping and working with kids. Because of this, I became an elementary school teacher. When I got married, I taught while my husband finished his schooling. Now I spend my time helping raise our five children. I enjoy cooking, camping, hiking, and reading. I also enjoy traveling and learning about new places and cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family, but there weren’t many other Mormons in the town where I’m from. When I was in high school, I decided that I needed to know for myself if the things being taught in my home were really true. It was very important to me. From a young age I had always wanted to understand why we are here on this earth. I also wanted to live a life of happiness and peace with the choices I’d be making in life. After studying the Bible and the Book of Mormon personally and praying every day about these things, I had strong feelings within my mind and heart that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints is true. It wasn’t until I was in college however, as I was away from home, that these feelings were confirmed and solidified in my heart and mind. I know that Jesus Christ loves me, he is aware of me, he died for me, and his gospel can be found in it’s completeness within the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. I am grateful to be a Mormon and to know why Heavenly Father and Jesus have placed me on this earth. I have found peace and happiness in my life and with my family. My life is stressful and I have plenty of challenges, but knowing that I can pray and peace will come from the Spirit, helps me live from day to day. I know that I can be and am forgiven of the things I do wrong when I try to live more like my Savior, Jesus Christ. Nothing in this world has given me greater happiness and joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily. As a family we pray together and we read the scriptures together. Right now we are reading from the New Testament. It has been a blessing to be reminded of the Savior and his life. I also try to read from the scriptures each day on my own. At church, I'm a teacher in our women's group and have taught the youth and young children at different times as well. I love helping others learn more about Jesus Christ and his gospel. It strengthens my testimony and I have seen many others find strength and peace in their lives.
