Hi I'm Alise

I love to read and be outdoors. I'm a registered nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy taking my kids on outings. We like to explore the local parks, trails and attractions. I work part-time as an RN. I am grateful that I was able to complete my education and have a flexible job where I can mostly be home with my kids. My husband and I like to play board games and see the occasional play. In my freetime you can find my relaxing with a good book, preferably while sitting in the sunshine!

Why I am a Mormon

have felt the Holy Ghost confirm to me many times that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church, oftentimes while I am reading the Book of Mormon or listening to a talk in church. I know that God loves me and has a plan for my life. I have had so many answers to prayer that have strengthened my faith. During challenging times I have been comforted and known that my Heavenly Father was supporting me. I feel that I have grown to be a stronger person because of the trials I've been through, those tough times have helped me turn to my Heavenly Father and see his hand in the little blessings that help me keep going.

How I live my faith

I lead the children's music each Sunday. I love the primary songs and how they teach of Jesus Christ and how to become like him. I still remember many of the songs from my own childhood and will ofen sing them to my own kids. Once a year we perform the songs we've been learning for the rest of the congregation. I try to read my scriptures and pray daily by myself and with my family. We have found dinnertime to be a good time to read scriptures, right now we are working on memorizing a few. We also attend church each week. When I follow the things I know to be right I feel peace and my relationships improve.
