Hi I'm Scott

I'm a convert to the LDS church. I've been married for just over five years and have two wonderful children.

About Me

I'm a graduate student working on a masters of accountancy. I enjoy getting out from behind my desk and taking trips into the mountains where I can camp, hike, and mountain bike. I love to spend time with my two children. We enjoy jumping on our trampoline, playing at the park, and THEY enjoy wrestling/jumping all over dad!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I received a testimony of the truthfulness of the restored gospel through the power of the Holy Ghost. After listening to the lessons given by missionaries and after much thought and prayer, I felt a confirming witness that what I had been studying was true. The center piece to my faith is the Lord Jesus Christ. The rest of the gospel, with all its wonderful principles and guidance, are appendages to the Savior, the Son of God.

How I live my faith

I serve in my local ward as a secretary to the elder's quorum presidency, which means I help keep them organized and assure that things they want done are accomplished (the elder's quorum is a body of men that meet together each Sunday to strengthen one another spiritually) . In the past I have taught the youth and the adults while maintaining a different calling as a teacher. I am also a home teacher, which means that once a month a contact and visit several families in my ward to assure they are doing well and to deliver a gospel message to increase the spirit in their home.
