Hi I'm Zach

I'm an actuary. I'm a father of four. I'm little league soccer coach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a family man. I love being a dad. I have three boys and a girl all ages 1 to 8 and a beautiful wife and I adore all of them. When I'm not working I spend my time coaching my kids soccer teams, taking trips to the zoo, pool or the park. I love rediscovering the world through my children's eyes. I work as an consulting actuary helping large companies manage their pension plans. I love reading, basketball and volleyball.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that following the teachings of Jesus Christ taught in the Bible, the Book of Mormon and by modern day prophets brings peace and happiness in this life and will help us return to our Heavenly Father in the world to come. Being a Mormon has helped me to know how to be a good father and husband. By being married in God's temple I know my marriage will endure beyond death and my family will remain together for all eternity. I am a Mormon because I have learned that God hears and answers prayers and through the Holy Ghost he has helped me to know that the Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ and was told to restore Christ's church on the earth.

How I live my faith

My faith has helped me as a try to overcome the tendency to focus on myself and my needs. From a young age I have been taught in church the importance of following Christ's example and serving others. As a youth I went door to door monthly to collect offerings from church members who fasted and gave the money they saved on food to others who were hungry or less fortunate. At 19 I took a break from my studies and college volleyball to serve a mission for two years in Russia. Now as an adult I have always had a volunteer job in the church helping teach lessons on Sunday, helping people move in and out of houses, planning father and son campouts and doing whatever I can to help out. Being a father has also helped me understand just how much our Heavenly Father must love us and what an honor it is to be entrusted to raising some of his spirit children.
