Hi I'm Chris

I'm a humble friend. I'm a ward missionary, serving the Poulsbo area; and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I want to serve a full time mission for the reason that I know It is the right time for me to go and for the reason that I am a humble young man, serving as a ward missionary for the Poulsbo area; and I love serving as a missionary for the two wards in my area for the past year and a half--still going strong. Serving as a ward missionary helps me prepare spiritually, socially and physically for a full time mission. I also love hanging out with my friends. I Have friends that have good spirits about them, and I can see how good they are on the inside.

Why I am a Mormon

I live as a Mormon for the reason that I have seen the Mormon gospel impact my life, my friends and family's lives, and other individuals' lives immensely. I was born as a Mormon, and could not see myself in any other faith; however, in my life, there was an incident when I got to know for myself that this gospel of Jesus Christ was true. When I was fifteen I was thinking if the church was true, and I had this prayer in my heart and mind. While I was pondering this I felt an overwhelming feeling of joyousness and peacefulness. I knew that it was the Spirit of God, telling me that the church was true, and I could feel Jesus Christ's and Heavenly Father's love, confirming this truth to me, like they were with me, and i knew that they were. From then on I knew that this gospel is true, but Satan still makes me question it. Although, the Holy Ghost still testifies to me about the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and i cannot deny it when this happens. When I read the scriptures, and play unto Heavenly Father I always get an overwhelming feeling of confirmation that this is the true church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by willingly serve Heavenly Father and those individuals that are around me, which I do by doing missionary work. Every Friday I go tracting with the full time missionaries, serving my ward. I help them find individuals that are seeking to find the truth. I also sometimes teach the full time missionaries about the gospel to increase my knowledge of the gospel such as: about a year ago, I went on splits with one of the missionaries of my church, and afterwards, got to teach him and his companion about the gospel with the help of one of my friends.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Chris
We can increase our faith in Jesus Christ by simply doing three different things. The first thing that we have to do is read the scriptures. Study Jesus Christ's works: see what he has done for us in his life, the miracles that he has done and the type of person that he is. The second thing that we have to do is prey unto Heavenly Father, God. Ask him is Jesus Christ really is his son, and to ask him if the things in the scriptures are true. The third way is to be like him. Be the type of person that he is, full of charity, humility and love, kindness and patience. Have a willingness to do these things, and you will get a knowledge of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
