Hi I'm Carly Holmes

I grew up in the Northwest. I graduated from BYU-Idaho in Exercise Physiology. I live and work in Provo, Utah and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college graduate, working at becoming certified as an exercise physiologist. I am a big fan of playing sports, mainly basketball, football, and volleyball. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking mountains, and camping. I play piano, guitar, ukulele, and mandolin. I mainly enjoy spending time with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon not only because I was born and raised as one, but because I truly believe in it. I was not entirely converted when I was 8 when I was baptized, but I have since become a convert of the church. Every single person has to be converted at some point. Mine came little by little until I realized my testimony and how much I truly believed in what I have been taught my whole life. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and he loves every single person, no matter what they have done. My brother and Savior, Jesus Christ, died for me so that I could live with him and The Father again in Heaven. I know that through the atonement, I can be healed of my sins and forgiven. The atonement is something that is a true comfort in my life; The knowledge that when I die, I won't be alone or just floating around in the universe. My Father cares for me and wants me to return to him. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and all the other prophets up to Thomas S. Monson have had revelation from God to lead this church towards heaven. I know the Book of Mormon is true and that it really speaks to my time now. That book will always have a special place in my heart, because of the inspiration I have received from it. I know this is the true gospel and through my faith I can know all things.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example. I try to be the best person I can be to show others the way to live. I know that I'm not perfect and I have many things to improve on, but living like the Savior would is the most satisfying way to live. I live my faith by applying charity to my life and trying my hardest to live it. I live my faith by being a disciple of Christ and share the gospel with others, even if it's just showing them by being an example. I have things in my life that I need to improve on, but I know that God still loves me for my imperfections.
