Hi I'm Janet

My name is Janet. I was raised in Pennsylvania. I'm a teacher in Arizona. Love to garden. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Janet. I am the oldest girl of six born to George and Myrna. I started life in Indiana and was raised in Pennsylvania. After high school graduation, I spent 3 years in Boston as a Nanny. I attended Slippery Rock University in PA where I earned both my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education. I have taught school in Washington D.C., Houston, TX, and Mesa, AZ., where I currently reside with my handsome husband Dave. I love to garden. It is gratifying to work the soil and watch the miracle of new life springing from it. I love the green of winter grass, and the multitude of colors that gladden every corner of our yard and there’s nothing better than eating out of your very own vegetable garden, pesticide free. I feel bless to have a good, loving Priesthood holding husband who enjoys serving others. Though we were not blessed with children, I enjoy teaching and sharing with my second graders, nourishing them in the good thing of this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church to righteous parents who served in many callings though out their lives. They were good examples of service to others and magnifying their callings. Going to church has always been a favorite thing for me. I loved my Sunday School teachers and I knew they loved me too. I have always felt love and peace with in the walls of church. From a very young age, I knew the gospel was true which brought me happiness. I have had just as many struggles as the next guy, but I’ve always had a soft place to land. I love the Lord and can best serve him in the church. I was very blessed to have this great gift handed to me.

How I live my faith

My faith is a way of life. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the road map I strive to follow. The path I choose is the one that takes me back to my Heavenly Father. I make mistakes, but though the gift of the atonement, I can humble myself and ask for forgiveness. I am continually learning God’s will for me. I pray that I can be a true disciple and be God’s hands or open my mouth to share the words God’s would have me share. Service is a big part of me and my husband’s life. If I continue to pray, search the scriptures and seek the Lord’s will, I will be rich with blessings.
