Hi I'm Kathryn

I am a wife, a mom and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of seven crazy kids, Aunt to twenty-eight darling nieces and nephews, wife to one amazing man, and mother of four remarkable children. I spent a lot of time outdoors as a child and developed a strong love for camping and hiking. I also love to read, run and water ski. But ultimately, my family is what brings me the most joy.

Why I am a Mormon

Born and raised in the LDS church by dedicated parents, I fostered a deep love and admiration for our Savior, Jesus Christ and admired my parents for their sustaining faith. Although I attended church and my weekly youth activities, I didn't receive my own personal testimony until I was much older. It was then that I went through a substantail trial in my life which brought me to my knees in earnest prayer. Through overcoming my trial, I gained a personal knowledge and relationship with our Savior, and my life has never been the same.

How I live my faith

I think the most prominent way in which I live my faith, coupled with attending my meetings and acitivities, is through constant prayer. I begin each day with prayer. And through the process of my day, I strive to always carry a prayer in my heart. Whether it's for one of my kids who is having a hard time at school, or the woman I see at the grocery store struggling with tired kids. I pray for softness in spirit when I hear of someone's needs, or ask for direction when serving those around me. I ask for forgiveness when I have placed unfair judgements on others or run out of patience amidst the whirlwinds of motherhood. Throughout all of my callings and experinces, nothing has directed me so profoundly as sincere petitioning to the Lord through prayer.
