Hi I'm Kitty

I grew up living in humid Florida and lived growing up our family in dry Arizona. I'm a Happy Mormon.

About Me

I am innately a happy person; I feel like have good reason to be that way at all time. As a little girl growing up in Florida, I constantly felt I was a blessed little girl. We had a nice three bedroom house and a car...our car was a station wagon that often took us to the beach! Happiness felt plentiful; I had a family to love and to love me back. Many years have past since then; I still feel the same way, richly blessed. I have an awesome husband, five grown children and 17 grandchildren; all whose families live within 2 hours of me. That may not always be the case for me, but I know that my family will be mine, forever. I love them from my past, in my present, and in my future and ultimately, with gratitude to our Savior, Jesus Christ, through my all Eternity. I know that true & eternal joy is available; knowing it makes me happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel like I was born to be a Mormon. I was barely ten years old when I answered the front door to find two nice men in dark suits and hats smiling at me. I was excited to see what they wanted as they asked me to run get my mother. My mother embraced their message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and was baptized. I could see how happy she was and I wanted to be happy too. I was baptized at 11 years old. I accepted the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with full joy and was fully commitment at this young age. Now, all these years later, I remain joyful in the Gospel of Jesus Christ . I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I keep going forward with faith and hope with an eternal perspective of living with the families I love so much, and with my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ once again. I'm happy to know Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness is available to everyone.

How I live my faith

I live by faith every day. Somedays, all I can do is just... take a step forward. Yet, every day I go about trying to do my best. As a wife and mother, I wanted to be a good example to my family. Living the gospel, following the prophet, reading the scriptures, having Family Home Evenings, serving others and being kind, singing in the choir and working together as a family was my greatest work and desire. Most of the callings I served in at church were mostly with the Primary children. To this day, I often sneak out of class to go be the the nursery children. I always say, "The nursery is their first experience learning about Christ's love in church". I see what is written in the scriptures, to "become as a little child", they are so open to His love. I am so grateful to have received at my baptism, the Gift of the Holy Ghost for guidance and support in my life. I have been happily serving in the church since the beginning. At age 16, I was Sunday school teacher of 10 or 12 six year olds. At age 18, I was a membership clerk or secretary. I've done things like: keeping church and family records, teaching preschoolers, young women and helping & visiting the sick and needy; teaching adults; supporting community service projects, etc., etc. In short, I participate in the things the Savior, Jesus Christ, would have done; the things He would want me to do, if He were here. How do I know what He'd have me do? I actively find the answer by reading the Word of God, praying earnestly to know, and through the promptings of the Holy Ghost, I can know what to do. And then, I go out with faith and do it!
