Hi I'm Wayne

I was born in California and raised in Colorado. I love watching College football on Saturday afternoons. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing tennis and most other sports. I love taking my kids to the park and kicking a soccer ball around. I love eating cinamonn rolls on a snowy afternoon during a wintery Colorado day. I enjoy reading books with my kids. Admittedly, I also do enjoy taking naps whenever my kids will allow me to do so. I also enjoy talking philosophy and science. My father is a rocket scientist and instilled in me growing up a great curiosity of the world and how it all fits together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and was consequently taught about Jesus Christ from a very young age. I was also taught much about the need to seek out a personal relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ. As I did that and sought to know him, I became converted to His teachings and to His church. I came to understand my role in His plan and I came to desire to live in a way that would allow me to draw closer to Him. I am a Mormon because I have received a witness in my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His church. I received a witness that through the atonement of Jesus Christ is the only way that we can be forgiven of our sins and recieve of the grace of God. I am so very grateful that I have been taught that my family can be together forever and that my beautiful wife and I can have a forever marriage. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that by following His teachings I am demonstrating to Him that I love Him and that I hear His voice.

How I live my faith

My faith is a part of my being, it is at the heart of who I am. It anchors me in a chaotic world. My faith teaches me to be an example of honesty and integrity. When I am given too much change at the grocery store and attempt to return the excess change I enjoy seeing the surprise on the cashier's face. I work hard to instill in my children the knowledge that they can serve their fellow men and women and that they can seek out the needy and help alleviate suffering. My faith teaches me to look outward when I otherwise would prefer to simply worry about my own difficulties in life. My faith teaches me that there is so much more to live for than what I see in this world, that there is a loving Father in heaven that loves each of us. One of my favorite things is when I am able to teach a Sunday School class. It is so much fun to read from the scriptures and be able to share with others the amazing things that have been placed there for us to learn from.
