Hi I'm Kendall.

I'm a daughter, a sister, a friend, a college student, a pianist and a runner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 19 year old enjoying life in the Pacific North West. I just finished my first year of college at Brigham Young University Idaho and loved every minute of it. I am hoping to gain admittance to the nursing program there and getting my BSN. I have three younger brothers who, despite their occasional annoyance, mean the world to me. I have been blessed with two loving parents who have strong testimonies of the gospel. I have the best friends imaginable and have met people who have changed my life with their faith. I love to just be around others and enjoy conversation. I love being outside whether I'm on the boat, dirt biking, camping, running or just messing around. I have been greatly blessed and thank my Heavenly Father for it every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of the joy that it has brought into my life. I am so grateful for a Savior who atoned for our sins. I know that He knows and understands each of our problems and worries and that He wants to help us. I know that He suffered alone so that we would never have to. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us and even though we cannot see the whole picture I know that by putting our trust in the Lord that it will all work out in the end. I have a strong testimony of the power or prayer. I know that Heavenly Father hears each and every one of our prayers and that he answers them. Sometimes not right away or in the manner that we wanted but he does answer them. I know that the scriptures were meant for us in this day and that by reading their words we can come closer to our Savior and gain strength and comfort. I know that Joseph Smith restored the fullness of the gospel on the Earth and that he saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that we have a living prophet and apostles today who speak for Heavenly Father. I know by heeding their counsel we will be greatly blessed. I know that I can live with my family for time and all eternity because of temple covenants and I am so thankful for that. I know that this church is true. It offers such hope and joy in the world we live in today and I love it. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making a constant effort to better myself. The gospel is a wonderful thing but we can only enjoy the full blessings associated with it if put forth the effort to do something about it. I always try to find things each day to work on. Little things that I can improve on in my every day life. My favorite quote is from President Thomas S. Monson and he says, "Sometimes Courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says, 'I'll try again tomorrow."' We have the atonement which allows us the opportunity to try again tomorrow and I live my faith by constantly trying to utilize this gift. I live my faith by doing my best to show the light of Christ through my actions. I always try to do the right thing even if it isn't the most popular choice. It is so easy to get pulled into the world and all the things it tries to offer but I know that greater blessings await if I live a righteous life. I live my faith my attending my meetings and faithfully preparing my class. I try to always have an open heart so that I will be receptive to the teachings of the Spirit. I live my faith by studying the scriptures and communicating with my Heavenly Father through prayer. I live my faith by choosing to stay on the path the Lord has planned for me.
