Hi I'm Kelton Herring

I love to laugh. Music makes things better. I'm a disciple of Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love life and everything I can learn from it! I find myself happiest when I'm in the scriptures or with my friends. Words can't describe the two together! Music is just the cement that brings it all together. I got to perform in Carnegie Hall with my high school choir. I got to feel the Savior's love with my leaders. I've felt His trust with my quorum. I've felt His understanding with my family. I've felt His guiding hands with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I've read through the Book of Mormon and have gained a strong testimony of Christ through it. I'm a Mormon because I love my Savior and I know that he wouldn't ever leave me guessing at life. Our Heavenly Father has given us modern day prophets to guide us as a whole towards unity with Christ's standards and blesses us with personal revelation when we humbly seek Him to make it through our personal struggles. He has a plan for us, one of love and of agency, and as we follow Christ's plan, His example to be humble and simply love one another, we can make it through this life much easier than when we try to do everything on our own. Sometimes we're too stubborn to do what our Heavenly Father wants us to do, but when we faithfully follow his leading hand, we provide miracles for those who need to see them. I'm a Mormon because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I want to return and live with Him again and with everyone on earth that I love.

How I live my faith

I was baptized into the Church at 8 and have been attending 3 hours of church every Sunday along with an hour and a half once a week with the youth. I was given the Holy Priesthood at 12 and have been using it everyday since. By staying worthy to hold this power of God, I act as an example of Christ everywhere I go. I try hard to respect everyone I can, I help as much as I'm able, and I do my best to do what's right. I get to teach a few families in their homes once a month with a companion of little scriptures or whatever I think they will be able to benefit from. I bless the bread and water that are the sacred emblems of the sacrament on Sundays. I try to live as loving as Christ did. Though it's not easy, it's a goal worth working hard for! I'm now sharing my love for our Savior with the wonderful people of Montréal! I study the Book of Mormon everyday and practice my French so that I can better share with them my love for His gospel and the power it has to change lives.
