Hi I'm Richelle

I'm a Cosmetologist by day and a Professional Singer by night. I'm an outdoors lover and enjoy time with my husband, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Richelle, and I am a Cosmetologist by day and a vocal performer by night. I recently got married to a wonderful man who is a full-time student. To be honest this decision was a very challenging one. I unfortunately saw marriage from a "Worldly Perspective" and felt that if I got married, my life would be ruined and I would never be able to fulfill all my goals; plus I'm still young and have plenty of time. But through a long spiritual journey of prayer, I was able to come to the conclusion that marriage was the right step for me. I realized that God's Commandments always brought blessing, and if marriage was a commandment of God then it should be good... So I took a huge leap of faith, relying fully on Heavenly Father and His trust and now know that marriage is such a wonderful gift from God! I feel so blessed that I followed Heavenly Father's commandment! So now I'm married and still able reach all my goals, with a supportive husband! I am currently completing my country album and so excited to release it in 2012! I am also singing at a Restaurant on the weekends and doing hair by day! I love my jobs and enjoy living life to the fullest! I'm kind of crazy... I love "extreme sports".. Hiking, rock climbing, spelunking, backpacking, camping, skiing, kayaking, and more! I have also been blessed with a wonderful family! I grew up with 6 brothers and sisters, and wonderful parents! Even though growing up wasn't a joy ride, we are best friends today!

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in this church I had to find my own witness that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the only true church of God. I recall at age 7 or 9 yr old confused about God, His love for me, and feeling alone. I knelt next to me bed praying fervently about these questions. It was at this great moment that Heavenly Father wrapped an imaginary warm blanket around me of comfort and love. He then told me, with a soft small voice, "that I was His child, and He was my Father that loves and cherishes me, and I should fear no more." Through this experience I have come to learn that Heavenly Father answers our prayers, confusions, and helps carry our trails. A few years later I applied this same prayer of faith to understand the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and His church. The same warm, gentle feeling of love rushed though me with such peace and comfort that I can NEVER deny that this is Christ's one and only true church! I have such a passion for reading the Book of Mormon that testifies daily to me of it's being the word of God! I love studying the Bible and the Book of Mormon together because they compliment each other teaching me about my Savior, Jesus Christ! I have a great love of my Savior, who sacrificed His life for me, that I may change for the better through the power of repentance! Through prayerfully studying the scriptures I can know how to be more like my Savior, following His example, and understand God's plan to return to live with Him once again! I feel extremely blessed to have come to such comforting knowledge of God's sweet truths and understand my role in this life and his love for me. I know this is His church! I only desire to live with my Father in Heaven again! I can do this through the truths that have been revealed through His church today! I testify of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

If you've met a "Mormon" than you have probably realized that we are different. If you have a chance to meet me you definitely will see this. So I guess you could say that I don't act how the "World" says I should act, but how I've been taught I should act by Christ through His church. My faith is my lifestyle. One way is exemplified through my careers. As a cosmetologist I have great opportunities to talk with many people daily. This has been such a gift in my life because I have an opportunity to be different and help all my clients with the struggles they are facing, showing passion and love. I can be an example through my actions as Christ was. My vocal career is another way to show my faith. I have the privilege to write music that is uplifting and catered to my Savior! Another example is through service, in which I have a great passion for! Understanding my Savior as an example of service, I strive to serve daily. Through our Church there are many great opportunities of service! I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to teach the 5 year olds... Even though this can be challenging, I enjoy every moment I spend teaching them of Christs love and example! Not only am I edifying them, but I am edified through prayerfully studying and preparing the teaching of Gospel truths weekly. Also I have a great responsibility to serve the members and others around me. The joy felt when serving others is such a tender blessing! I love serving others because I am serving God!
