Hi I'm Jesse

I grew up in Hawaii. I'm studying neuroscience. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have two daughters, ages 3 years and 1 month, who keep us busy. My wife taught elementary school for 3 years when we were first married, but she is now a full-time mom, while I am a full-time student pursuing a PhD in neuroscience. When I find free-time, I enjoy participating in soccer and judo. I also enjoy playing the ukulele with friends, though I wish I could play better.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm grateful for my knowledge of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. It has been a constant source of motivation to me during times of trial and brought balance to my life. The gospel has always made sense to me at an intellectual level, but my testimony is based upon the witness of the Spirit I have received in answer to prayer.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving as the ward mission leader. This means I help the full-time missionaries to coordinate their efforts with members of the ward. I'm also involved in helping them teach people who want to learn more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
