Hi I'm Wendy

I'm a British Citizen living in America and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my 'Pen-friend', we met many years ago before the days of Internet. We fell in love while writing to each other. I moved 4,000 miles to be with him. We had 6 children, I'm now a Grandmother to 11 with   more on the way. I am a retired Dental assistant but now work from home for our family business. I love to cook, craft and take care of my family. I have recently gone back to school to learn a new language.

Why I am a Mormon

My Parents joined the Church when I was very young, but that's not why I'm a Mormon. My Parents were and still are very active members so I was always taken to church and I have wonderful memories of learning and singing in the Junior Sunday School program. Also as I grew I was very active in the Youth activities. As I learned, and studied and Prayed I knew for myself that the Church is true. I love the wholesome standards and values that are taught. I shall always be grateful that my Parents brought me up this way. To see my Children and Grandchildren follow these principles is one of the most fullfilling things in my life. The knowledge that we can be a family for eternity gives me great peace in my heart. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I believe that in life, you get what you pay for! If I only decided to attend church once in a while and only prayed when I needed something or only helped others when I expected them to help me back, then I think that I would not have much meaning to my life.  Whether my time is spent helping at a Youth activity or socializing at a church picnic or taking a meal to a new Mom I always feel good at the end of the day when I have tried my best. I choose to put Jesus Christ as the center of my life and try my best to live a life that shows that. I hope my Family and Friends know that if they need me then I would be there for them. I know that when I kneel and pray that there is someone on the other end who hears me and cares about me. Life is not always smooth sailing but I know that I am not alone.

What is faith?

There is a song that the young Children sing at Church and some of the words seem to sum up what I feel about faith....'Faith is knowing the Sun will shine, lighting each new day, Faith is knowing the Lord will hear my Prayers each time I Pray' Even though I can't see my Heavenly Father or Jesus Christ I know they are there. I always get a good feeling when I do the right thing, which tells me that the things that I have faith in and believe are not just a figment of my imagination, they are true. Show more Show less
