Hi I'm Connie

I grew up and live in the Seattle area, I'm a working mom, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work full time as a legal secretary in downtown Seattle. I'm married and we have two children (ages 10 and 18). I have seven stepchildren, many of whom have started their own families. I enjoy reading, walking, cooking and most of all, hanging out and visiting with my large fun family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up pretty much without religion, although my family went to a Methodist church nearby on occasion (mostly Christmas and Easter). Religion was never very important to me, but when I was 28, I married a Mormon - a Mormon that had been married twice before and had 7 kids! Everyone thought I was crazy, but that decision has blessed my life immensely! About ten years after we married (at age 39), I was baptized as a member of this wonderful church. Learning about Jesus Christ and making the decision to follow Him has been the best decision I could make. I have learned so much and have felt the Lord's Spirit in my life. I used to feel embarrassed about being religious and sometimes those feelings pop up again, but I am proud to say that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!

How I live my faith

Being a member of this Church provides many service opportunities. We are all asked to serve in some way and as a result, we learn and grow spiritually. One of the ways I have served is to work with the children ages 3-11 and help teach them about Jesus Christ. This has been a great learning experience. Another blessing of that service is working closely with other adult members and the great friendships that result from that.
