Hi I'm Garrett

I'm a Husband, a Father, and a Friend — I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a dad. What does that mean? For me, it means that I do what I can to provide for my family. I work - providing the best service I can for my company - but when it’s time to be home, I'm home. I enjoy spending time with my family – helping my wife and kids in any way that I possibly can. I'm grateful that my wife has the opportunity to stay at home and be with our kids each and every day. True, we make sacrifices and forego stuff that would be nice to have, but at the end of the day we are a family and we love and support each other.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is converted at some point in their life. Even though my parents and grandparents are members, there comes a time in one’s life that they have to know for themselves. For me it came with more of an assurance when I read the Book of Mormon for the first time when I was a teen. The Spirit that I felt in my heart confirmed to me what my parents and others have "told" me for years. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. Along with the Holy Bible, the Book of Mormon is a witness of the divinity of Jesus Christ, and of his Atonement. By following the teaching of the Church, it has brought happiness to my life, and as a husband and parent, I see it bring happiness to my marriage and to my family.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the Church there are many opportunities to serve others. Over the years I have had opportunities to teach various Sunday School classes to children, youth and adults; participate in the Boy Scout program; and serve other members in fulfilling their religious duties. Personally, I love to spend quiet time reading scriptures and other praiseworthy books; saying prayers both in by heart and by praying in morning and evening; attending my church meetings each Sabbath; and learn and follow the counsel of the living Prophets and Apostles.
