Hi I'm Rachel

I'm an Army wife, a mom, and I'm Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and I'm a mom. I married my husband seven years ago and with that, I guess you could say I married the Army too. We've survived our share of deployments, and moves, three to be exact. Add two wonderful kids to that and there's my life! My five year old daughter was diagnosed with Down Syndrome at birth and she has changed my life completely. She has blessed our family beyond measure and I wouldn't change a thing about her. Her and my son make my life complete. Beyond my family I try, like any regular mom, to keep a balance in my life. There is so much in life that can take our time and efforts and it's important for me to stick to the basics. I make sure myself and my family are healthy and happy and well rounded.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon as were my parents, but I was able to choose. My parents taught me right from wrong but allowed me to use my agency to choose for myself. I love being a Mormon. I love knowing Heavenly Father has made a plan for me. I know that Jesus Christ gave his life so that I could be on this Earth and choose to live the life I wanted. I strive each day to live in a way that shows respect for my Savior's choice. I choose to be kind and loving to my family and those I meet each day. I choose to go to church each Sunday. I choose to pay an honest tithing. I choose to keep my body and mind clean, and through these choices I know that I can be with my family forever and one day see and live with my Heavenly Father and Savior again.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week and I'm blessed to be able to work with the children in the our ward. I'm able to help them learn about our faith and make sure they know that they are loved by their Heavenly Father. It's amazing what children know and learn and I love when you can truly see that they know that the Gospel is real and true.
