Hi I'm Calli

I’m a native Arizonan. I am married, have five children, work as an adoption caseworker, love to craft and sew and I'm a MORMON.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful man who loves me no matter what. He works hard to provide for us and is happy to serve others. I have five amazing children that I feel privileged to parent. I also have the great blessing in my life to work part time with some of the most amazing women in the world, Birth Mothers. I get to witness the miracle of adoption first hand. I am in awe of the selfless loving sacrifice that these women make for their babies. Statistically less than 1% of those faced with an unplanned pregnancy place their babies for adoption. I am inspired by these women who have taught me through their actions about sacrifice, trust, love and courage. Their stories are life changing. They are not only making a life changing decision for their baby, but for themselves and for countless others. Many people think that they are taking the easy way out, but that is just not the case. The decision to place is the most painful difficult decision that they have ever made. Many think that they could never place for adoption or that if they did they would be broken for life. It’s amazing how happiness can be found even when life is difficult and that the human soul is resilient and can come out of difficult things stronger and happier than before. I know this is because of the Savior’s love for each of us. We are all Children of a loving Heavenly Father and he has a plan of happiness for each of us. He is aware of the smallest details of our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

My greatest joy comes from being a mother. I have five children, one son and four girls. There nothing better than watching a little person become a big person. I have to admit I haven’t always felt this way. There were a few years when my kids were small when it was just plain harder than I bargained for. But the struggles have definately been worth it. My children are each unique individuals so family life is full of compromise, sacrifice and service. Families are the perfect place to learn life lessons. Right now I am enjoying having teenagers in my home. I know a lot of people think I’m crazy, but I think teenagers are so much fun! What helps me the most in my parenting is my church. I just love that I belong to a church that helps set guidelines and reinforces things that I’m teaching them at home. Parenting is definitely the hardest job in the world, but it also the most rewarding. I couldn’t do it without the gospel of Jesus Christ. Famlies are important to Heavenly Father's plan. He has provided a way for us to have eternal families.

How I live my faith

My faith can best be describes as who I am. It’s a part of every aspect of my life. My faith is what I rely on as a mother, wife and adoption caseworker. It’s not just something I go to on Sundays. Life is about more than what I have or the way I look. It's about how I treat others and where my heart is. We are all equal in Heavenly Father's eyes. He loves all of us and wants what best for each of us. My most important relationship is with my Heavenly Father. He knows me and wants what’s best for me and I love him and want to please him. He also knows that I fall short many times and that I’m learning and growing and that’s okay.
