Hi I'm Bill

Was born in New York. Lived in California and Hawaii but mostly in Colorado. I now live in Utah. I love the mountain West!

About Me

I'm a father of four and a grandfather of 13. I've worked as an Air Force military medic, a technical writer, and a trade show planner. My family has been in Colorado for five generations. My hobbies include Amateur radio, fishing with my family, going to the movies, traveling, and genealogy. I love airplanes and go to airshows as often as I can.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a teenager, I started reading the Bible and asking questions about religion. Nobody could give me reasonable answers, not my parents, not any clergy I talked to. When I was in the military, my boss asked me if I knew anything about Mormons. I said no and he asked if he could send over the missionaries to answer my questions. I said yes and finally got answers about the Bible and the gospel that finally made sense. I got baptized and have never regretted the decision to join the church. I'm so glad that we have prophets on the earth today, just as in olden times. I'm so glad that we believe in modern revelation to help us with problems unique to the 21st century as well as age-old problems. Based on continuing scripture reading, prayer, and activity in the church, I'm still happy I'm a Mormon after 47 years!

How I live my faith

We believe everyone should participate in the local congregation called a Ward. I've been called as a teacher, a group leader, a visitor to the sick and incarcerated, have families I visit monthly to make sure they are OK, plan emergency seminars, provide emergency communications where needed, and most recently work in the library providing supplies, copies, and pictures to teachers for their Sunday classes. I've made so many friends that never would have crossed my path except for my activity in the church. I share the gospel of Jesus Christ and my story and happiness with the church whenever I have the opportunity.
