Hi I'm Norman

I was born in Arizona. I made my living selling Onions.I enjoy being a father to 7 children. I'm an entreprenuer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

While growing up on our family's summer camp in Colorado, I gained a great love for the outdoors. The mountains and Heavenly Fathers other beautiful creations seem to speak to my soul. It was in these mountains that I learned that God does hear and answer our prayers. As the tenth child of my family I was spoiled with a lot of Love from my older brothers and sisters. I still enjoy great relationships with my brothers and sisters. I owned a produce business for 18 years and now I am in the Real Estate Business. My favorite pass time is spending time with my wife (the Love of my Life), our seven childern, and six Grand Childern. My family brings me so much joy. I am an Entreprenuer, a Husband, a Father, a Grand Father, and I AM A MORMON.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ was a great blessing, Even though I was taught the Principles of the Church, I still needed to have my own conversion. I remember as 10 or 11 year old I was taught about prayer in a sunday school class at church. Later that day I went to the woods back behind the horse pasture and I decided to pray. While I was praying a very sweet feeling came to me, I felt as if God was saying to my heart and mind. Yes, I am here, I know you and I love you. Other times I took time to ask in prayer if the Book of Mormon was true, and it the Mormon Church was true. My prayers were answered with the same peacefull wisper from above to my heart and mind that they were true. As a 19 year old I remember riding in the back of truck on a slow dusty road in El Salvador. As we were traveling I was reading a small book titled "The purpose of life". While reading the spirt wispered to my heart and mind again, and confirmed that this life is the time for us to learn and prepare to meet God. As the booklet talked about the life after and the churchs belief about families being together forever, I had a beautiful picture in my mind of heavens, and my Parents, brothers and sisters, and grand parents all dressed in white, with smiles and out strecthed hands. I felt such a sweet joyfull feeling that it brought tears to my eyes. I feel that this was a confirmation to me that life is eternal, and that if I live right, that I will have the opportunity of being re-united with my family again in the life after. I believe that God loves us and wants us to live worthy of returning to live with him. I believe that it is thru our Savior Jesus Christ and his atonement and resurrection that eternal life is possible.

How I live my faith

Service in the community and service in the church bring me lots of joy. Over the last 30 years I have had many opportunities to work with the youth programs of the Church including the Boy Scouts of America troops that LDS Church partners with. It is a great feeling to teach young people and then see them go forward and make good decisions in their lives. I currently have the opportunity in the church to be a local part time Missionary. I enjoy going out and making visits and doing community service in our neighbor hood. We recently partnered with the local city , and with our youth and their families we spent most of a day cleaning up our neighborhood, painting the house numbers on the street curbs, and we even roofed a house in our neighborhood. I feel that we all need to help one another in this life. No matter who we are, what we have or where we live. We all need each other and we can all find a way to serve others.
