Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a student at BYU-Idaho. I'm a twin and a Mormon.

About Me

I transferred to BYU-Idaho from a community college back home. When I first started BYU-Idaho, I wasn't sure what I wanted to major in, but I eventually found out I wanted to major is Recreational Management. I enjoy participating in recreational activities including camping, and backpacking. I have a twin brother who is younger then me by 2 minutes. I like to travel and have always wanted to see the world. I enjoy watching movies and spending time with my family and friends and doing things on a computer.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a kid, I grew up not active in church even after getting baptized at the age of 8. When I was 12, my parents thought it was a good idea to go back to church. They couldn't be more right. I gained friendships. When I was 13, my Sunday school teacher challenged my class to pray about whether the first vision is true. Three weeks after constent player, I got my answer with a string feeling from the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith did see Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ in the forest. Ever since then, my testimony has grown. When I read the Book of Mormon for the first time, I knew it is a true book. I felt like I wanted to get rebaptized even though I was already baptized.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing serves in my callings. I have been Relief Society secretary, a visiting teacher, and visiting teaching supervisor. A visiting teacher visits a the same 2 or 3 women per month. During a visit, a short lesson on a gospel related topic is given. Each visiting teacher has a companion. Each visiting teacher becomes friends with her companion and the women she teaches. If a visit isn't possible a phone call, or email con work. a visiting teaching supervisor keeps track of the way visiting teachers are communicating with the one's they teach either by phone call, email, or visit. As Relief Society Secretary, I visit a different women every other Sunday to check up on her and how she is doing.
