Hi I'm Aaron

I work on the docks as a longshoremen and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been merried for almost three years and we have a healthy baby boy. I work as a longshoremen at the Port of Everett. I've worked there for over seven years and enjoy the work I do. As a longshoremen I load and unload cargo ships. It can be very dangerous work but I normaly work with guys who look out for each other. I enjoy camping, hiking, coneoing, archry, fishing, and basicly anything outside and being active. I'm an eagle scout and have been helping young men in our ward with scouting. I played all kinds of sports growing up, baseball, basketball, football, wrestling, crosscountry, and track and field. My wife and I enjoy playing card games like hearst and cribbage. We also like playing Catan and other board games.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. At the age of 8 years old I chose to be baptized. I met some of my best friends in the church that to this day we stay very close. As I grew up I chose to stray away from the teachings my parents taught me and what I knew the church taught me. I spent years trying to find happiness on my own. I got to the point when I gave true prayer a chance I mean I was ready to receive an answer and act upon the promptings that I felt. That morning I felt impressed to go to church I hadn’t gone to church for months. I went to church ready to make a decision be an active going church member or stop completely going. As the meeting drew to a close our stake president got up unannounced and bore his testimony on how the church was true. At the end of his testimony he blessed the congregation and said for those who haven’t felt the saviors love for them that they would feel it right then. I sat there with tears dripping down my face knowing my prayer was answered. I felt at that moment that my soul was special in the sight of the Lord. I can tell you by my experience that true happiness is found only through the blessings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As a member of the church I know that not only are there blessings for me to have in this life by living by the standards of the church but I will be blessed in the life here after. Marriage between husband and wife can be united forever. Families can stay together forever. The way this is possible is by our Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe that this is His true and living church. The way a marriage can be forever is by the covenants made in the Lords Temples. There we covenant (promise) the Lord that we will live according to His will. I can promise that anyone truly interested in their salvation should read the Book of Mormon and pray truly pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ if these things are true.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward by teaching the young men. I enjoy teaching the young men because I feel like I know how to relate to their struggles, and can help them realize the importance of choosing the right amoung so many worldly temptations. I also visit families in our ward every month to make sure they are doing well.
